Leftbank Annex Wedding: Summer + Dylan

Leftbank Annex holds a special place in my heart, as it's where Dan and I got married not long ago. To be invited back to Leftbank and enjoy Summer and Dylan's vibrant, love-filled celebration was tremendously satisfying and brought back so many happy memories.

I love Summer and Dylan's story, because it truly exemplifies that sometimes you are just meant to be with that ONE person. They were matched originally on E-harmony, but after a period, Summer very graciously broke it off. It was, in fact, the way she respectfully communicated with him that made Dylan pursue her AGAIN when E-harmony matched them up for the 2nd time months later! This time, it was clear, there was no going back, as Dylan said during his vows: "You are the woman I always hoped for, the woman of my dreams".

It was a beautiful wedding, with Summer's personality and exquisite taste evident in every detail. Scroll below to find a list of the talented vendors for this Leftbank Annex Wedding:

Labish Gardens Wedding: Sara + Jered

I loved Labish Gardens. It was a cooker of a day, but it was SO beautiful and every guest was so happy to be there, no one seemed to mind the heat (and a great whiskey sour sure doesn't hurt ;)
Located just outside Salem Oregon, Labish Gardens is surrounded by rolling farm fields and boasts a golden hour sunset that is hard to beat.

Sara and Jered have special ties to the property as her father owns and cultivates the site and while familiar, it holds special memories. For us as photographers, it was so precious to see family from both sides come together and support the couple all on family property where love and sweat went into all the wedding details.

Planning your wedding photo timeline is a crucial part in keeping the wedding day seamless and stress-free. A little coordination between the photographer, wedding team and bride/groom can ensure that everything goes smoothly without a hitch.

When I plan a timeline, it's typically based on an 8 hour wedding day. I always plan in cushion so that if things are running late, we have time and can make up for un-forseen challenges.

1: Start with the wedding Ceremony time. (4 or 5pm are the most popular because they allow enough time fore the ceremony/cocktail hour before dinner)
2: Are you doing a First Look? Single most important question. ;)

 3. Based on the ceremony time you can determine how many hours of coverage you want before/after the vows are made.

 4. ALWAYS plan at least 2 hours for brides hair/makeup. It always takes that long no matter how simple it is.

It's so much easier to just show you some samples- so here you go!

If the wedding coverage is 9 or 10 hours, I just add an hour to the end and/or beginning. With 8 hours, I have just a few minutes to get the very last finishing details of the brides prep. It is nice to have more of those prep shots- but if the client wants to keep the time on the back-end, I role with the punches ;)
