When you see your own brother getting married it's like doing a double take, "hold on, aren't you like seven years old?" Apparently not. ;) My little brother is all done growed up and gettin' married! Maybe it finally sank in when Sam looked at Gracie with that, "only you forever" in his eyes; or the way he held her, his arms saying:"finally, I am my Beloved's and she is mine". Her quiet happiness, peppered with that darling impish grin, mirrored it right back.
It was such a privilege to be on the inside circle of seeing these two lovebirds united in holy matrimony. Watching everything unfold through my view-finder was like having an out-of-body experience. You're seeing everything transpire through this little box, freezing moments in time, cheering ecstatically on the inside- the concentrated photographer on the outside.
I wish you could have heard the deafening cheers and seen the standing ovation as Sam and Gracie were announced "man and wife". Just try to imagine it for second....that's a taste of what it's like at a Taylor wedding ;)
